- Non-follower
- A non-follower is an account you follow on Instagram that does not follow you back.
- Fan
- A fan is an account that follows you on Instagram that you do not follow back.
- Mutual
- A mutual is an account where you and the other person follow each other.
- Snapshot
- A snapshot is a saved copy of your follower and following lists at a point in time, taken from one Instagram data export.
- Snapshot diff
- A snapshot diff is the comparison of two snapshots, showing which accounts you gained and lost between them — including who unfollowed you.
- Follow-back rate
- Follow-back rate is the share of accounts you follow that follow you back — your mutuals divided by your following count.
- Audience quality score
- The audience quality score is a 0–100 measure of follower health, calculated as 100 × (0.45 × follow-back rate + 0.35 × retention + 0.20 × balance).
